How to get file versions with Putty

Command Name: “STRINGS”

Syntax: strings –a <file_name> | grep '$Header'


Practical Example: strings -a CSTVIVTB.pls |  grep '$Header'

".pls" file exists on the corresponding tops
example:  cd $AP_TOP/patch/115/sql
